ANNANDALE, Va. (Dec.. 28, 2018) – Dr. Rahel Yirga has been named medical director of Renaissance of Annandale, a premier memory care community serving Fairfax County scheduled to open in early 2019.
“Dr. Yirga is recognized by her patients and their families for being on the cutting edge of medicine and being their ‘guardian angel.’ She has a reputation for having a wonderful bedside manner and excellent communication with staff, residents and families,” said Pam Phillips, executive director of Renaissance of Annandale.
“It is my desire to help seniors achieve the highest quality of life possible. I make myself readily accessible to meet the needs of my patients,” Dr. Yirga said.
She earned her medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1997 and underwent post-graduate training at York Hospital Department of Medicine. Dr. Yirga mentors young adults interested in scientific fields and those desiring to work with geriatric patients.
Dr. Yirga lives in Falls Church, Va. with her husband, daughter, and son. She loves exercising, biking, traveling to new place, and shoes.
Situated at 7112 Braddock Road, Renaissance Senior Living of Annandale is scheduled to open in the winter of 2019.
