Mark Hinkle Named Food Service Director of Renaissance of Annandale

ANNANDALE, Va. (Jan. 4, 2019) – Mark Hinkle has been named food service director for Renaissance of Annandale, a premier memory care community serving Fairfax County scheduled to open in early 2019.

Hinkle will ensure the dietary department delivers safe and satisfying meals to the Renaissance community and engage residents on a daily basis. He brings 20 years of healthcare management experience to Renaissance of Annandale and holds certifications in dietary management and food safety. Hinkle earned a Bachelor’s of Science from James Madison University.

“Mark is a very compassionate man who found a career through his love and talent with culinary skills.  He delights in helping those in need and finds joy in bringing smiles to seniors through his delicious home cooking and his warm, kind personality,” said Pam Phillips, executive director of Renaissance of Annandale.

Hinkle has a big heart and believes in giving of himself through healthy, well-rounded cuisine.

“The table is a meeting place, a gathering ground, the source of sustenance, nourishment, festivity, safety and satisfaction. A person cooking is a person giving. Even the simplest food is a gift,” Hinkle said.

He has been a member of Annandale United Methodist Church for more than 15 years and also attends Grace Church in Arlington, Va. Hinkle lives in Annandale and has four grown children. He enjoys swimming and the arts.
