ANNANDALE, Va. (Nov. 11, 2019) – Legacy Senior Living commemorates more than 100 veterans with a “Wall of Honor” at each of its senior living and memory care communities across the Southeast. Renaissance of Annandale, a premier memory care community in Annandale, Va., proudly displays several residents who are veterans on their Wall of Honor.
Each Wall of Honor features framed photos of residents, some also including their spouses, who have served in our nation’s armed forces, complete with placards sharing their name, branch of service and rank.
"For those who served our country, we are proud to showcase them with the Wall of Honor. These photos on the wall are in recognition of the sacrifice and service of these amazing men and women,” said Barry Ray, CEO and co-founder of Legacy Senior Living.
“They are a generation that inspires us to be better individuals and to serve them well,” said Bryan Cook, president and co-founder of Legacy Senior Living.
Renaissance of Annandale honors each resident veteran with their Wall of Honor. It seeks to intentionally recognize those who fought in wars that have shaped our country and maintained our freedom.
“We strive to honor and respect the veterans and their families who gave so much of themselves in service to our blessed nation. Our Wall of Honor is just one way we remind ourselves of our indebtedness to their sacrifices and express our gratitude,” said Pam Phillips, executive director of Renaissance of Annandale.
Legacy Senior Living communities share the incredible stories of sacrifice of its residents and their spouses who served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War through the Wall of Honor.
“We treasure all our residents, but are especially thankful and blessed by those who served our country in the military and, in some cases, fought in battles for the freedoms we all enjoy today,” said Ray.
Renaissance of Annandale wants to express honor and respect for those veterans, and having the Wall of Honor is a way to show their families and all visitors their faithful service to our country.
