Renaissance of Annandale Honors Resident Bobby Vandina, Retired NY Firefighter, with Birthday Surprise
The retired hero was welcomed by Fairfax County firefighters at Station 26 in Springfield, where he reminisced about his many years protecting the citizens of New York.
ANNANDALE, Va. (Nov. 5, 2021) – Renaissance of Annandale, a premier assisted living and memory care community serving Northern Virginia, recently honored resident Bobby Vandina, a former firefighter with the New York Fire Department, with a birthday surprise.
To recognize Vandina’s many years of service with the NYFD, Renaissance of Annandale’s caregiving team collaborated with Fairfax County firefighters in Springfield, Va., to take this hero to Station 26 on Oct. 19 for a celebration he would never forget.
During his visit, Vandina met fellow firefighters and reminisced about his days serving and protecting the citizens of New York.

He risked his life day in and day out throughout his career with the NYFD to keep his community safe.
