Legacy Senior Living and Dominion Senior Living Promote Allen Trent to Vice President of Culinary Services
Cleveland, Tenn. (Nov. 2024) — Legacy Senior Living and Dominion Senior Living are pleased to announce the promotion of Allen Trent to Vice President of Culinary Services. In this position he will oversee the high-quality food and dining programs at Legacy and Dominion’s 34 communities.
In May 2019, Trent joined the Dominion Senior Living family as Regional Culinary Specialist and he was promoted to Director of Culinary Services in August 2021. In both positions, he was instrumental in ensuring the highest quality of food and services for each Dominion community. As Vice President of Culinary Services, Trent will continue to lead Dominion Senior Living’s 17 communities, as well as Legacy Senior Living’s 17 communities. He will be hands-on in developing and maintaining high quality meals in an enjoyable setting for each community.
Trent obtained his Culinary Arts Management degree from Walters State Community College. Upon graduating, he served in a number of culinary management positions, including 11 years of experience in the senior living field.
Trent is motivated to provide an excellent dining experience for seniors after seeing firsthand the lack of quality food in many long-term care facilities. He knew that good, healthy food could help make a difference in the quality of life in seniors, and he chose to play a part in making that difference.
“I am humbled and honored to be a part of improving the lives of our wonderful residents. I am eager to continue serving the ‘Greatest Generation’ to the best of my ability by God’s grace. I hope to ensure that our residents have the best dining experience that we can provide,” Trent said.
“It has been so rewarding to see Allen’s continued growth with Dominion and Legacy. Allen is a man of integrity who is greatly respected by his team, co-workers, residents and families alike,” said Doug Veazey, COO of Legacy and Dominion Senior Living. “We are so grateful for the leadership and contribution Allen has given during his tenure thus far.”
Trent and his wife of 13 years, Kristin, live in Maryville, Tenn. with their four children, Zachary, Katelyn, Ethan and Bella, and their three dogs, Kiki, Bob and Merme. In his free time, Trent loves to cook for his family and play one of his many instruments. He is very involved in his church’s music ministry where he plays drums, acoustic guitar, bass and electric guitar and sings.
