Annandale, Va. (Dec. 2024) — Renaissance Senior Living of Annandale, a premier memory care community, is pleased to welcome Latoya Brown as Executive Director. Brown brings with her over 24 years of experience in the senior living industry.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Brown graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Systems Management from the University of Baltimore. She then obtained her Master’s in Business Administration from Strayer University. Brown immediately began working with seniors and has worked in positions from Nursing Assistant to Executive Director, most recently serving as the Executive Director at a Behavioral Health Outpatient Clinic.

Brown thrives in helping residents and family members navigate the move into a senior living community. Her goal is to make each resident feel comfortable and secure. She states, “Anyone can speak words of eloquence, but actions speak louder than words. Each day, I ask and allow God to use me as a vessel to shed light, positivity and courage to those who have lost hope.”

“Not only does Latoya bring with her years of experience, but she has also exhibited a lifestyle of compassion and kindness. We are grateful for her ability to put residents and families at ease as they walk through this phase of life,” said Doug Veazey, COO of Legacy Senior Living.

Brown and her family of four love adventure and trying new experiences. Brown has gone so far as tasting sea urchin, sea cucumber, grilled squid and duck fat while visiting Europe. She is hoping to also travel to Australia and Asia to embrace the culture, food and history of each area. When not traveling, Brown enjoys kickboxing, salsa dancing, horseback riding, white water rafting and karaoke.
